Using a sharp blade lightly cut the surface of the dough piece 3 - 4 times in a diagonal direction.

Step 8: Pre heat oven to 220°C/430°F

Step 9: Baking

Bake for approximately 35 minutes or until golden brown and the loaf sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.

Bakers Tip:

For best results place two ice cubes on a separate pre-heated tray in the oven to create some steam. (Steam allows the bread to rise in a uniform manner, creating a sheen on the fully baked product).

Step 10: Cool on a wire rack.

I have just made a loaf of your crusty bread, delicious I must say, just wondered would if spoil the bread if I added some LSA to the mixture. I loved the crusty crust, something I miss.

With thanks
